NPORS - Wood Chipper Shredder

Course Aims

​The NPORS Wood Chipper Shredder course aims to provide the candidate with a thorough practical and theory training in operating a wood chipper shredder in order to enable the candidate to pass the NPORS Theory and Practical Tests.

 

Course Content

• Health & Safety Legislation (LOLER / PUWER)

• Pre-transport checks

• Pre-operational checks

• Work site preparation

• Personal protective equipment

• Feeding chute, including safe lifting techniques and safe working procedures

• Dealing with blockages

• End of shift checks

 

Duration of Training

Depending on experience.

Novice training 2 days.

 

Test

To achieve the NPORS Operators Card candidates must pass both the NPORS Theory Test and the Practical Test.
