NPORS - Tipping Bodies

Course Aims

​The NPORS Tipping Bodies course aims to provide the candidate with a thorough practical and theory training in operating a tipping body in order to enable the candidate to pass the NPORS Theory and Practical Tests.

 

Course Content

  • The legal requirements – company procedures, operator responsibilities, hazards, risks and precautions relating to the safe use of hydraulic demountable body equipment

  • Basic construction – main components, uses, limitations and principles of operation

  • All controls and safety devices

  • Features affecting the stability and capability of the vehicle

  • Weight assessment and  load security

  • Correct use of load restraining systems

  • Pre-use checks

  • Comply with safety and legal requirements, with an emphasis on safe practices when operating

  • Demonstrate setting up, loading, off-loading, un-laden and laden bodies and / or containers/ or tipping

 

Duration of Training

Depending on experience.

Novice training 2-3 days.

 

Test

To achieve the NPORS Operators Card candidates must pass both the NPORS Theory Test and the Practical Test.
