Course Aims

The NPORS Safety Awareness Training course gives candidates an awareness of health and safety and how it affects their daily working role and environment.

  • Management of Health & Safety At Work Regulations 1999

  • Construction (Head Protection) Regulations 1989

  • COSHH & Hazardous Substances In Construction

  • Accident Prevention

  • Reporting of Injuries, Diseases & Dangerous Occurrences Regs 1995

  • Electricity On Construction Sites

  • Personal Protective Equipment – Including Regulations

  • Noise on Construction Sites

  • Provision & Use of Work Equipment Regulations 1998

  • Manual & Mechanical Handling

  • Excavations & Confined Spaces

  • Working at Height

  • Hand Arm Vibration (HAVS)

  • Fire Prevention

  • Health & Safety (Signs and Signals) Regulations 1996

  • Lifting Operations & Lifting equipment Regulations 1998

  • First Aid at Work including Regulations

 

Duration of Training

Training 1 day.

 

Test

To achieve the NPORS Operators Card candidates must pass both the NPORS Theory Test and the Practical Test.
