NPORS - Lorry Loader Hook
Course Aims
​The NPORS Lorry Loader Hook course aims to provide the candidate with a thorough practical and theory training in operating a hook loader in order to enable the candidate to pass the NPORS Theory and Practical Tests.
Course Content

Carrying out pre start and running checks of the carrier vehicle and lifting appliance

Configure the lorry loader and carrier vehicle for site and road travel

Manoeuvre the carrier vehicle into position in order to carry out lifting exercises

Set up carrier vehicle to carry out lifts at minimum and maximum radii

Load plant vehicle in accordance with industry practices

Secure loads on vehicle bed in accordance with industry practices

Basic slinging and hand signals

Place machine in and out of service condition

Explain loading and unloading procedures
Duration of Training
Depending on experience.
Novice training 2-3 days.

Test
To achieve the NPORS Operators Card candidates must pass both the NPORS Theory Test and the Practical Test.
